Clinotech Diagnostics & Pharmaceuticals Inc. is engaged in Research and Development, Production and Distribution of medical devices and therapeutic products worldwide. They focus primarily on early detection and monitoring of human diseases as well as providing treatment for illness. After spending several years abroad as a physician for Doctors Without Borders, Dr. Harrison Ofiyai returned to Canada and took a position as a researcher and clinician at the University of British Columbia.

Although he possessed no business experience, Dr. Ofiyai developed a business idea for diagnostic kits, and in 1997 he entered the entrepreneurial world. With determination, hard work, and the support of his wife Senay Ofiyai, a chemical-engineer, he started Clinotech and sought out growth opportunities, reliable partners and associates in the export market. In 2005, Dr. Ofiyai was featured several times in Export Development Canada's magazine and has been recognized as an outstanding entrepreneur with a successful track record as an exporter.

Today, the company produces top-quality medical diagnostic products in Richmond and distributes them to hospitals, medical laboratories, and pharmaceutical companies in 75 countries worldwide. The target, however, remains largely the developing and third world countries. The boxed kits contain chemicals and indicator strips for diagnosing diseases such as hepatitis, STDs, tropical illnesses and tuberculosis.
